Hello

Hey guys thanks for visiting my blog. Over the next couple of months I will keep updating it and letting you know all of my fundraising events and when I am in South Africa I will use this to write my diary so all of my friends, family and any supporters or sponsors read about what I'm up to!

Fundraising so far...

Hello everyone, so this is my first proper post because I've just worked out how to blog YAY. Firsty, sorry the font is kind of crap and difficult to see, if its too difficult to read just highlight the whole passage and then its easy peasy to read! Anyway so far my fundraising is ok in the past six weeks I have raised £720 and this has been from first a cake sale at my Grandad's church which made £16.90 (pretty rubbish I know but first fundraising attempt so I was pleased). I also sent letters out to ALL of the big supermarkets asking to do bagpacking but they ALL said no...except from morrisons so instead I did a bagpack at my local Iceland supermarket, after many many many hours of packing food into the white and red bags that i could NEVER open...i made £136 so its not bad then i did another bag pack at the co-op in town in Edinburgh for an hour with my two friends and got £57. I also did a cake sale at a christmas fair but unfortunately it was completely empty so made about £15...oh well...Made tasty mince pies though they were really popular!

Also got £100 from rotary and several little donations from friends and family so thank you everyone that has given me a donation so far! If anyone would like to give me another donation please do it on http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/HeatherMann and if you would like to send me a little cheque please make it payable to 'Project Trust' and then send it to me because I've had cheques payable to me but I've only just turned 17 so I don't have a cheque book so it's difficult to send the money up to Project Trust again. I also have another bag pack at Iceland this weekend then selling cakes at church again so hopefully get my funds up to £800 this month which would be a good achievement! So that's about all for this post but I'll keep updating and keep checking out my pages...OH AND LIKE MY FACEBOOK PAGE...    http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Heathers-year-in-South-Africa-with-Project-Trust/198699203538306  feeling a bit lonely. bye guys xxxxx
